High-Performance Garnet-Type Solid Electrolyte
This product serves as a solid electrolyte for oxide-based all-solid-state batteries and semi-solid-state batteries. Garnet-type solid-state electrolytes exhibit exceptional performance, boasting very high ionic conductivity of 10^-3 to 10^-4 S/cm.
Additionally, these electrolytes offer the potential for safer and longer-lasting batteries due to their superior thermodynamic stability compared to organic and sulfide electrolytes.
Features of DOWA products: Garnet-Type Solid Electrolyte for Enhanced Battery Performance
Conventional garnet-type solid electrolytes require heat treatment at temperatures exceeding 1000°C to form interfaces with other electrode materials. This is because the garnet crystal phase and the sintering of garnet powder traditionally occur only at high temperatures.
DOWA has successfully overcome this challenge by developing a fine-particle garnet crystalline phase through low-temperature synthesis. This unique process produces garnet cubic crystals with an unprecedented low-temperature synthesis. By utilizing heat-firing (HIP), they improve the density of the material and form a robust interface between the solid-electrolyte particles, achieving high ionic conductivity of 10^-4 S/cm at temperatures as low as 500-600°C.
Use: Garnet-Type Solid Electrolyte for Next-Generation Batteries
Our solid electrolyte material is designed for use in both all-solid-state and semi-solid-state batteries, providing exceptional performance and reliability for cutting-edge energy storage solutions.
